Experience

Martha Collins has successfully litigated, lobbied, and negotiated for many of Florida’s largest precedent setting environmental and land use cases and polices. Prior to founding Collins Law Group, Martha was founding partner of the very successful environmental and land use law firm Collins & West, P.A. She has represented clients in legal challenges involving state and federal permitting issues, the Clean Water Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the Endangered Species Act, local government law, eminent domain and Florida’s growth management laws. She has extensive experience organizing coalitions in Florida to advocate stronger environmental policy in environmental health, clean water, clean air, conserving our ocean resources, forests and global warming issues. She has appeared before numerous governmental agencies in Florida and Washington, D.C.; including, the Florida Governor, Cabinet and Legislature, and members of the United States Congress. Her work has been quoted or referenced in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Forbes, Politico, National and Florida Public Radio, other newspapers and blogs across the country and world, and in almost every major news media in Florida.
